I always start with words. I look for what a brand needs to say, then I draw the mark, the type and the images that carry it.

Everything a brand shows goes through the same hands. So it speaks with one voice.
A mark and a typeface that work as a system, then guidelines so everyone applies it the same way.
User journeys and interfaces designed to be read quickly, on a large screen as well as on a phone.
Posters and booklets where the grid serves the text, prepared for the printer.
Animated logos and short clips that give a brand rhythm on social media.
Portraits and brand imagery, from the shoot to RAW development.

"Before I draw, I look for what a brand needs to say."
About to graduate in graphic design from Collège La Cité, I work on identity, editorial design and the web with a photographer's eye.

My method
Every project follows 4 steps, and the chart shows how they overlap. Listen comes first: understanding the brief and the audience before drawing anything. Define begins during that listening, to set the positioning and the words that will guide every choice. Design, the longest step, explores directions and then builds the system. Deploy starts before the design is finished, to test the brand on its real media before delivering the guidelines and the files.
Understand the brief and the intended audience before the first sketch.
Set the positioning and the words that will guide every visual choice.
Explore directions, then build the system: mark, type, colour.
Roll the brand out across its media and deliver guidelines and ready-to-use files.
